SECOND ANNUAL AFFF Bike Ride

A bicycle benefit ride in
Northern McHenry County
Thank you to all of the over 100 riders who joined us on Sunday October 14, 2007, (in the rain) for the first ever AFFF Bike Ride. We appreciate the many kind comments and encouragement to host the event again next year, and we will!

Our first ever bike ride would not have been as successful if it were not for your support.
We hope that you will join us again on Sunday, October 12th 2008, come rain or shine, at the Richmond Township Fire Protection District's Fire Station for the second annual Richmond Associated Firefighter's Fall Fifty Bike Ride, hosted by the Richmond Firefighter's Association. We will begin and end the ride at the fire station with legs going to Fire North Quad fire departments in Hebron, Spring Grove and Wonder Lake.
Routes are 50, 30, 20, and 12.5 miles and are mostly flat to gently rolling. An 8-mile family (with children) ride option is also available. All routes will have rest stops with food. SAG wagon drivers will patrol the routes to assist you if you need help. Early registrations will once again receive a free commemorative ride souvenir.

Children ages 6 - 12 are $6 at all times, online or on site
Children 5 and under are free.

Parking opens at 6:30 a.m. On site registration is from 7:00 a.m. to Noon. 50-mile riders should register by 8 a.m., if not pre-registered and start by 11 am. Pre-registrations must be postmarked by October 4, 2008.
T-shirts (long sleeve by popular demand) will be back and are best ordered ahead of time with your registration. A limited number of T's will be available the day of the ride. Long sleeve T's will be available for $15 for registrations received by October 4th. T's will also be available to order online. Sizes Adult Small to Adult XL $15, XXL and XXXL $16.
